Life is full of conflict. We live in such a diverse society with different opinions, mind sets, belief systems, and ideologies we find ourselves needing a mediator to help step in, unbiased, looking through the lens of both parties to resolve the conflict that is being argued or discussed. What is a mediator? A mediator is a person who attempts to make people involved in a conflict come to an agreement; a go-between.
I have a genuine love for people. If I see a need, I would like to fix it or at least introduce them to a solution that would benefit the individual. This is where my desire to become a mediator fits into the canvas of my picture of life, as another way I can benefit society. April 10, 2014, I became certified in Basic Divorce and Family Mediation Training.
What my training in mediation consists of is:
Divorce Mediation
Family Mediation
Personal Conflict Resolution with emphasis on Life Coaching through the process of dealing with:
Eating Disorders
Low self-esteem / self-worth
Contemplation of Abortion
Life Coaching and Mediation
In 2001, I decided to align myself up with someone who could challenge me and make me greater as a communicator and life coach. I decided to be trained by one of the most influential, inspirational, and motivational people I know and that person is Zig Ziglar. For 13 years I have been life coaching and inspiring others to live out loud their individual potential and fulfill the dreams inside of them. During this time of life coaching what I have heard from countless people is what they have been taught conflicts with what they are now or what they believe. Being a certified mediator helps with life coaching because I can introduce tools to use in resolving issues with a positive resolution between two parties. You can agree to disagree just do it with respect as your underlying motive in every conflict. Focus on relationships because that is truly what matters the most in life. Life is too short to focus on regret. I choose to be reconciler not a right fighter.
